Who we are
This website is operated by Nanoswift Ltd as Deed Poll UK, an online deed poll generation service. When we refer to "we", "us" or "our" in this policy, we mean Nanoswift Ltd.
What data we collect and why
To generate your deed poll we collect the information you enter into the form:
- Your current name and new name
- Your date of birth
- Your address
- Your email address
- The names and addresses of your two witnesses
- The date of the deed
This data is used solely to produce your deed poll document. We store it temporarily to allow you to retrieve your document after payment. We do not use it for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
Cookies
We do not use cookies. We do not set any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. The only browser storage we use is localStorage, which is used temporarily to pass your form data through the payment step and is cleared after your document has been downloaded.
Payment data
All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see, handle, or store your card details at any point. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how your payment information is processed. You can read it at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
How long we keep your data
Your form data is stored in our database to allow document retrieval. Once you have downloaded your deed poll, you may request deletion of your data and we will remove it.
Your right to deletion
You can request deletion of your personal data at any time after you have downloaded your deed poll. To do so, email us at deedpoll@nanoswift.co.uk with the email address you used when completing the form. We will delete your record within 30 days.
Under UK GDPR you also have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct inaccurate data, and to object to processing. Contact us at the address above to exercise any of these rights.
Data security
We store form data in a database accessible only over encrypted connections. Tokens used to retrieve documents are cryptographically random and single-use. We do not transfer your data to third parties other than Stripe for payment processing.
Children
This service is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to complete the form on your behalf.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
